What is Egg Tempera?

Egg Tempera was first used by the Ancient Egyptians and Greeks.
It is made by mixing powdered pigment with pure egg yolk. The paint is built up over many layers to create a wonderful luminosity and depth that is quite unique.
Robin-Lee is one of only a small number of artists who paint in this way today.
