Robin-Lee
Hall is an award winning artist who works almost exclusively
in egg tempera.
It is a highly labour intensive and exacting medium where
the paint is made from egg yolk and powdered pigment and built
up over many layers to create a wonderful luminosity and depth
that is quite unique.
Robin-Lee's themes range from figures, faces and interiors
to slightly 'off-set' still life paintings based around traditional
British confectionary and cakes. All her paintings are suffused
with colour inspired by the early Renaissance paintings in
the National Gallery where she conducts workshops and lectures. |
